Donation Pledge

Record a gift pledge or intent — amount, fund, and recognition — without taking a card or processing a payment.

donationpledgeintentdevelopment

A donate button that dumps into a processor loses the conversation. This GRTforms template records a pledge — an intent to give — so development can follow up with the actual gift path. It does not charge a card and it does not process a payment.

Who it is for

Development shops and small nonprofits who still close gifts by phone, check, DACF, or a separate payment page.

When to use it

Put it next to a donate link when people need to declare an amount or a fund first. Donation Question is for receipts and “which fund?” mail. In-Kind Donation is goods. Sponsorship Request is a company buying benefits.

What this form collects

Donor identity, pledge amount, designation, cadence of the intent, recognition preference, and optional instructions.

  • Year-end pledge card that staff fulfills later
  • Board give/get commitments before the gala
  • Major-gift intent that will close as stock or a DAF

Frequently asked questions

Does this charge a credit card?

No. GRTforms has no payment field. This form is a pledge and an intent only. Send donors to the processor you already trust when they are ready to complete the gift.

Can I treat a submission as a legally binding pledge?

Not by itself. Your counsel decides what a signed pledge means in your state. The template is operational intake, not a gift instrument.

Where do monthly donors go?

The monthly option is still an intent. Point them at your recurring checkout in the success copy, or have development send the link.
