Preview a form from the builder
See exactly what respondents will see — including unsaved builder changes — without publishing or recording a submission.
Where to find it
Open a form in the builder. A Preview button sits in the toolbar on desktop and mobile, wrapping next to Ask AI, Security, Save, and Publish. It opens a large modal that uses the real public form renderer and the current draft.
What you can try
- Show/hide rules, skip pages, and confirmation messages or redirect targets.
- Multi-step progress, header and description, theme, and hidden-field URL prefill.
- Desktop, tablet, and phone widths in the modal.
- Open in new tab for
/forms/<id>/preview— signed-in owners only, not indexed.
Nothing is saved
Preview mode never stores a submission, uploads a file, or fires webhooks, emails, analytics, or tracking pixels. The banner says “Preview mode — submission not saved.” If a confirmation rule would redirect, the target URL is shown instead of leaving the page. Unpublished, paused, closed, password-protected, or IP-blocked forms still preview from the builder.
